The Salo Sports Park has various activities including Salo’s swimming hall, horse stable, big family park, skatepark (also pump track), ice rink, athletics field, Salohalli,Ice hockey rink, tennis, squash and padel courts.
Teijo National Park is a lovely nature destination for families with children. From shorter to longer walks. You can travel safely on the marked routes in the area, and at the rest stops you can grill sausages and admire nature. Nearby are the pictoresque and hip villages of Teijo, Kirjakkala and Mathildedal, where you can find many activities such as skiing, mountain biking, downhill skiing, downhill driving, painpall, kayak rental etc.
The Salo electronics museum is located right there, where it all started, Astrum Keskus. Museum is located in part of the building where the Salora televisions where once shipped all over the world!
The children’s transport park Alanko is a very fun place where you can drive pedal cars in compliance with the traffic rules. Also, it is free of charge!
Vuohensaari Camping by the Halikko Bay area has shorter walking routes, and bird towers. They offer minigolf, kids play area, cafe, a beach to take a cooling dip and canoe rental!
In the iron village of Kirjakkala, on the shore of Lake Hamarijärvi, you can rent canoes and kayaks and see spot some ospreys. In addition, beautiful hiking trails on the shores of the lake. Archery is a special activity!
